Clothes Your Dog

Winter coats and sweaters and hoodies. I spend more on clothing for my dogs than for me. And you’re thinking I’m out of my mind, but Elmo weighs 6 lbs and Peach and Bronnie are around 13 – 15 lbs. They all have short hair and the frigid temperatures here in California are just too much for them. I think it was in the high 50’s yesterday. How is a dog supposed to survive in such cold weather? Okay that may seem downright hot to some of you, but these guys are used to sunshine and beach weather.

So now that we have a new addition to the family (Bronnie), I had to go get some cool weather clothing and rain gear. He’s a tough little wiener dog, but he still doesn’t like getting wet.

I bought him what I thought was going to be four outfits, but, just like human clothes, those S, M, L, and XL sizes don’t always run true. Two of the four ended up going to Elmo. Of all three, Elmo “complains” the least. Wet weather? So what, as long as it isn’t dumping major buckets on him. It’s amazing that the little 6 lb dog is usually the toughest of the three.

Bronnie definitely looks adorable in his new skulls hoodie. It’s the blue that looks so good on him. I didn’t know what he was going to do once I put this on him. To my surprise, he just grabbed his ball and started playing.

Peach and Elmo were a little less thrilled about hoodies, but if it meant we were walking out the front door, they weren’t going to complain.
